Davenport is a small town located southwest of Orlando near Lake Tohopekaliga and Lake Marion. With its central location, surrounded by rolling hills and land that was once used for citrus growth, Davenport's central location makes it a perfect spot to base your Florida vacation.

School board OKs 7 charter renewals
The Polk County School Board voted to extend the contracts on all seven charter schools up for renewal during its meeting Tuesday, although most of the votes were not unanimous.
